Chapter 3

Kylie’s POV

 

As soon as we got to the mall, Vero linked arms with me and we walked ahead of the guys.

“So, give me the layout of the guys on the team.” I said smiling like I was thirteen years old again.

Vero giggled also before starting to explain. “Okay, so as you can tell Max Talbot is a TOTAL flirt, and will have sex with anything that’s breathing. But he is the nicest, funniest person and he’ll be your best friend. Kris Letang is single and he’s on the market. Tyler Kennedy has a girlfriend named Kelsey, and Kelsey is so funny! We are best friends, you have to meet her. And then there’s Jordan, he and his girlfriend, Heather, broke up a couple months ago because the distance was too hard. He’s a total flirt too, but has been off lately. He seems to like you though.” She said giving me a rundown.

“Mmmm. Thank you, V.” I told her sincerely.

 

We were able to find everything I wanted. We got a black dresser that had a built in mirror and a black desk with lots of storage. We also got some black curtains, and for the accent piece I got a silver comforter. To put in the closet, I got a simple black dresser. Since I love to read, we got a large white dresser. We also got some black and white shelfing to go around the room. We got some cubby holes and with white and black canvis baskets to go in them. I have a lot of crap, I need place to store it. Vero and I went to get me a new backpack, new notebooks and crap like that. I got a new pair of bubbly converse and a couple new shirts and jeans. Finally, we meet Marc, Sidney, and Jordan at a sports store inside the mall.

“I’m glad we got you some nice stuff!” Sidney said completely relaxed because with their wigs and sunglasses, no one has noticed them. We walked around, looking at the different posters and stuff. I noticed that Jordan was almost was next to me, but never said anything. I gasped when I saw a huge Carey Price poster. “Shut up!!” I squealed.

Jordan smirked at me, “I know. It’s so ugly.” He said smoothly.

“Excuse me, Carey Price happens to be my favorite person in the NHL, with the Montreal Canadiens being my favorite team!” He exclaimed.

“What?” He said looking at me funny.

Sidney came over laughing. “Yea, my dad corrupted her, it’s kind of sad actually.” He said putting his hand on my shoulder. I stuck my tongue out at him before squirming out of his grip.

“We’re going to have change that.” Jordan said grinning. Marc-Andre booed a bit as I went up to the cash register to pay.

Once I came back Vero began to talk excitedly. “I have the perfect idea for a game! Let’s play hide and seek in the mall. We all hide and Sid tries to find us!.” She exclaimed.

I high-fived her. “Yes!”

Sidney rolled his eyes before starting to close his eyes. “1,2,3.” He said beginning to count. I ran around the mall, and I finally found a small cabinet in the Home Appliance store. Since I was small, I managed to fit in it. Mere minutes later, it opened to reveal Jordan. I couldn’t help but wonder if this was a coincidence or not, I mean he was following me around all day.

“Move over!” He ordered me.

“Not a chance in hell.” I snapped. He ignored me before sliding in next to him. I was shocked that he managed to fit all 6’4 of him inside the cabinet next to me. I was basically on his lap though. Where our bare skin touched, my skin felt like it was burning.

“So what’s your story?” He asked me, his blue eyes searing into mine.

“Uh, nothing much. Ran into some problems in Cole Harbour, so I came here.” I said trying not to give away too much.

He leaned forward, “Why are you so mysterious?” He asked me.

I shrugged self-consciously, his eyes were studying me again. We were so close that I could smell his minty breath and the Axe deodorant that he was wearing. I saw him slowly leaning forward before the cabinet door flew open.

“There you two are!” I heard Siddy exclaim and there was him, Vero, and Marc-Andre staring at us.
